The sewing studio was founded in 2018 by Didem Umurhan and Elif Özdemir. Didem previously worked for many years in the film industry as a costume designer. In addition to the two founders, three permanent seamstresses work at the Atelier, with the capacity to bring in up to 11 part-time seamstresses when needed. The main headquarters is situated in Sisli, Istanbul. As a co-owner of the Atelier, Didem diligently attended to all our concerns throughout the entire process. She recommended all the necessary additional experts, who proved to be just as remarkable as herself. The staff behaved like family, even bringing us mandarins and oranges from their homeland as a gesture of goodwill. The seamstresses have been in this profession for years, and their dedication reflects a longstanding passion for their craft.
